Easy New Year's Eve Party Ideas!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas yesterday with the ones you love.  We had an amazing Christmas Day at home!  Unlike many other Christmases, we spent the day at home just our little family. Our boys got to stay in their cozy Christmas pajamas and play with their new toys all day long.  The food was delicious, but casual, and we just enjoyed watching our four boys soak in the magic of Christmas.  It looks like we even have a new chef in the family... And now it's time to think about New Year's Eve as it's just around the corner!

Just like our casual, calm Christmas I like to spend New Year's Eve with our family and close friends, hanging out at home and enjoying delicious, easy to prepare food.  Today I want to show you just how easy it is to create a festive, delicious New Year's Eve set up without breaking the bank or spending forever in the kitchen with authentic, restaurant-inspired food.  After all, it was JUST Christmas and many of you JUST finished doing just that- cooking, baking, cleaning, hosting, wrapping, up all night prepping, right?

Tai Pei Egg Rolls and Spring Rolls are always on my holiday shopping list because they are totally fun and delicious to serve, plus they are SO easy!  I bought some Chicken Egg Rolls, along with some Mini Vegetable Spring Rolls to serve.

I love how easy they are to serve for a party- I just pop them in the oven on a foil-lined cookie sheet and within minutes I have Tai Pei authentic Asian-style cuisine with exciting, traditional flavor varieties and a fun takeout-style experience!

put them on clear appetizer plates, along with a cup of dipping sauce on each plate so they are fun, festive and easy. There are dipping sauces included in the boxes of Tai Pei Egg Rolls and Tai Pei Spring Rolls.

I couldn't find any gold and white little cups for the sauce like I envisioned in my mind- no problem though because I just used my favorite gold marker and decorated the little cups myself with stripes and polka dots.

I bought my Tai Pei Egg Rolls and Spring Rolls in the freezer section at Walmart, along with some festive New Year's Eve decorations.  There are so many different varieties to choose from- Chicken, Veggie, Pork (24 oz.), Shrimp Egg Rolls (22.5 oz.) or Mini Spicy Chicken Egg Rolls (22.5 oz.).  The Spring Rolls come in Mini Chicken Spring Rolls or Mini Vegetable Spring Rolls (22.5 oz.).  The crispy wrappers, fresh cut vegetables and hearty chicken make the Chicken Egg Rolls my personal favorite, although all of Tai Pei Egg Rolls and Spring Rolls boast these same ingredients so you really can't go wrong with any of them!

I also made a simple Asian-style appetizer to go along with our Tai Pei Egg Rolls and Tai Pei Spring Rolls.  I'll share that recipe with you next week.

I always get the itch to take down my Christmas decorations before New Year's Eve, but I keep our gold decorations out because they coordinate so well with New Year's Eve decorations.  I always buy a big New Year's Eve hat to use as the centerpiece on our table because it's big, fun, and inexpensive.  Paper horns, candles in gold votive candle holders, and my gold ball Christmas ornaments serve as festive decor for next to no money spent!

Looking for a fun, festive way to entertain this New Year's Eve?  Pick up some Tai Pei Egg Rolls and Spring Rolls from Walmart, along with a few decorations, and don't forget to incorporate your gold Christmas decorations too.

Wishing you a wonderful rest of your holiday season, and hope your 2015 is a great year.  I'll be back soon with a look back at my favorite posts from 2014, along with my One Little World for 2015! xoxo
