Back to School Celebration!

It's a good life here and we love celebrating fun traditions in our home.  One of our favorite traditions is our annual Back to School Celebration.  We have it every year the night before school starts, and the boys look forward to it every year.  This year we were really on top of things- school supplies, clothes, backpacks, and all of that fun stuff was purchased weeks ago so we got to truly enjoy a relaxing evening the night before school started.  So relaxing in fact that we celebrated Back to School with pizza, popsicles, and a Family Movie Night (something we normally only get a chance to do on the weekend).  It was so much fun!

Our oldest son (he's nine years old and loves everything about helping these days... it's AWESOME!) helped me decorate the dining room table with a school theme.
We mostly used items that we had around the house, and even some of their new school supplies for decorations.

I bought each of them a little school gift- flashcards and crayons from the dollar section at the store with a paper apple tied on with a ribbon.

And we enjoyed a School theme too...

We loved the Tombstone Pizza because it was quick, easy, delicious, and stress-free... we were able to eat quickly, celebrate our last night of summer and clean up was a breeze too!

For a delicious frozen snack that required NO prep on my part {How often do I get to say that? Never!} we headed outside for Dreyer's Outshine Fruit Bars.

We had Pineapple Fruit Bars and Strawberry Fruit Bars.  Both were a hit, but I think the boys really loved the strawberry bars the best.  I love them all because they are made with real, honest ingredients.

After eating as part of our Back to School Celebration, we had enough time to settle in for a Family Movie Night.  Family Movie Night is definitely one of our favorite family activities because it's just fun to get cozy at home together, especially on the night before sending our precious boys off to school for another year.
