Nautical Gallery Wall with Cut It Out Already & a Giveaway!

Thursday, August 28, 2014

We've had a busy, fun summer of fun and we've also been moving around furniture and rearranging bedrooms for the boys!  Our two little guys finally moved out of their cribs and into big boy beds and we're in the process of decorating the room in a beachy, nautical theme.  The first thing we've done is this fun little gallery wall using my favorite Cut It Out Already frames.

Cut It Out Already frames are so fun and easy to work with.  They come ready to paint (no sanding required) so they easily dress up a wall in little time!

I chose a Brooklyn 8x10 frame, a Chandler 4x6 frame, and a Grafton 4x6 frame.

And I just grabbed some paints from my supply of paints and used a sponge brush from Michaels to paint my frames quickly.

Then I laid out everything I thought I would hang on the gallery wall.  I love that "Toes in the Sand" sign that I made last year, but decided to put it on another wall in the boys room because it is very heavy and while the gallery wall is not directly above the boys' beds, it is close to them.  We live in Southern California {Earthquake Country here!} so better safe than sorry.

And on that note, Cut It Out Already frames do NOT come with glass.  You can easily get glass for your frames at your local craft or glass shop, but since my frames are going in a little boys' room I'm choosing to keep them glass- free for extra safety.

Then I just hung everything up, added pictures to the frames, and added a fun little shell & whale tail necklace for some added texture to the wall.

I LOVE how it all came together!  It goes so well with the decorations already in the room like this buoy that we bought on a summer vacation to coastal Oregon/Washington a few years ago.

Do you love Cut It Out Already frames too?  Have a gallery wall or other project idea?  Then enter here to win a $25 credit to Cut It Out Already frames!  I think you will love them as much as I do.  Good luck! xoxo
