Everything becomes exciting with kids during Christmas time, especially our Sunday morning breakfast. We made Build Your Own Snowman Pancakes last year for the first time and loved it so much that we did it again next year. I love how sometimes a simple little idea turns into a new family tradition.
We start with hot, homemade pancakes then top them off with a variety of toppings.
Sausage and pretzels for arms...
Trader Joe's Chocolate Chips, Peanut Butter Chips, and M&Ms for buttons and smiles...
Bananas and oranges from our backyard for smiles, buttons, and eyes...
And raspberries because they are delicious. Not pictured: blueberries because the boys ate the whole container within 10 minutes of getting them home from the grocery store yesterday!
I love how no two snowmen are alike, and each one actually reflects the personality of the kid who made it.
Samuel makes his with plenty of sweets, sausage arms, and great attention to detail.
Luke makes his with plenty of M&Ms and asks Mom for "extra snow please!"
And Jake's is cute, simple, and healthy.
Fairly healthy, sausage arms, and a big orange smile!
Daddy and Bryce's aren't pictured because they were too hungry to stop for the camera :)
We love our Build Your Own Snowman Sunday morning breakfast. It's pretty easy to pull together and it's so fun to see everyone's edible snowman creations. What's your favorite family tradition at the holidays? xoxo
