Travels with Gannon and Wyatt Book Review & Giveaway!

As a former 2nd Grade Teacher turned Stay at Home Mom, I am always looking for great books for our kids to read.  I have always loved reading myself so I really love to see our kids starting to have that same zest for getting lost in a great adventure.  If you're looking for a fun new book series for your kids, make sure you check out Travels with Gannon & Wyatt.

Travels with Gannon and Wyatt is a middle-grade adventure series written by Patti Wheeler and Keith Hemstreet.  The Travels with Gannon and Wyatt series include:

  • Botswana (released May 2013)
  • Great Bear Rainforest (released October 2013)
  • Egypt (to be released January 2014)

My boys love to play, explore, and go on adventures in our backyard so what better place to set up a cozy reading corner than up in here?

Our 9-year old son LOVES curling up on a beanbag in our treehouse and reading the Travels with Gannon & Wyatt series.  He especially enjoyed reading the Great Bear Rainforest, which he describes as action-packed and he says that the main characters, Gannon & Wyatt, are funny.

It's so fun to watch him really getting into a fun new book series.  He was fascinated to learn that Gannon and Wyatt are real people too, not just characters in the book.  I love that they are nice, well-behaved boys who are great role models.  Plus these books take kids on an adventure, while teaching them about different animals and different lands.  He was truly engaged in these books!

Want to win a set of the books for your child?  It would make such a great Christmas gift for the young adventure reader in your life!

Plus, be sure to like the Travels with Gannon and Wyatt Facebook page where you have a chance to win one of three Kindle Fires being given away this month!
