It's Camping Week at Gallamore West!

We're getting ready for our 2nd little camping trip of the summer.  This time we're ditching our tent and staying in a cute little log cabin, something that conveniently happens to be on our Summer Fun list :)

Our boys are so excited for a weekend of camping and I am busy planning out our meals menu, and of course, some fun camping treats too.  When we went camping last month, I made homemade chocolate chip cookie bars.  I wanted them to transport easily to our camping destination, and I also wanted them to be easy for little hands to grab one without getting their cute little dirty camping hands on all of the others so I wrapped them in wax paper and washi tape, and brought them in my favorite cast iron pan.
Are you a fan of washi tape?  I jumped on the bandwagon a little late {like usual-ha!} but now that I'm on, I'm pretty sure I'm buying a lifetime ticket.  I LOVE crafting and making things cute with washi tape.  If you're just jumping on board with washi tape, a great place to buy some to build up your washi collection without spending a fortune is Amazon

So simple, fun, and it was a great way to keep the bars fresh and delicious while camping.  These chocolate chip cookie bars are definitely on my list to make for camping again!

I'll also be back here this week with the BEST s'mores recipe that I have ever had, and some of my favorite tips for surviving a camping trip with little ones!  Be sure to check out my Camping board on Pinterest too.  xoxo
