Teacher Appreciation Day 1

Horray for Teachers!!

I used to be a 2nd Grade Teacher.
It was in my former life...

back when a shower was just part of daily life...
these days it's a treat.

back when wearing cute clothes was also part of daily life... now people ask me where I'm going if I'm wearing anything dressier than jeans and flip-flops.

back when stopping at Starbucks was also part of daily life... now I brew my own and re-heat it 23 times before noon.  Then I find it in the microwave at 4 pm, throw it out, and do it all again the next day!

So, back to teaching.
I LOVED teaching.
Besides motherhood, it is as rewarding and challenging as a career can possibly be.  Or if you're like me, you might actually bring a student home to live with you and actually give it a shot at BEING a mother to a student.  I don't actually recommend that though and it's a long story for another day perhaps.

This week we want to shower our boys' sweet teachers with love and sweets and pretty little things every day.

Here's our 1st little gift... sweet, simple and budget-friendly {$1 for the pail, $1 for the notepad... both from the Dollar Spot at Target, pencils are extra from another gift we're making this week}.

I'll {hopefully} be back tomorrow to post our gift for Day 2... I can't promise anything these days though because this baby in my belly is trying out for the Pro Baby in Uterus Wrestling Championship.  Competition warm-ups begin nightly at 11 PM with the main event nightly from 2 AM-6 AM...  love you, little squishy baby and can't wait to have you outta my belly and into my arms NEXT week!!!!!

I had to laugh when you said about the clothes and coffee! That's my life too and I wouldn't have it any other way either. The gifts came out adorable!
