I just saw these pictures from my baby shower and realized that since I didn't host the shower, I didn't post the pictures and they are just too cute not to share! My two sweet and crafty friends, Breanne and Alison, hosted this adorable shower for me back in the fall before Luke's arrival.
They carried out the "Cute as a button" theme so well from the moment you were greeted...
To the front entryway that displayed this colored button topiary...
and a picture of Luke {in my belly!} and me as a baby.
I love the red/turquoise color combination that they used throughout the shower... these banners were so sweet!
And these "button" cookies were adorable and delicious!
The tables had runners sewn by Breanne's sweet mom and there were even little buttons in the vases of fresh flowers.
Since this shower was for me and my third baby boy, we chose not to do the typical baby shower games. Instead, it was an small gathering of close friends who all decorated quilt squares that Alison later sewed into a precious quilt for Luke.
A couple of my favorite quilt squares won prizes.
I was showered with so many wonderful gifts for Luke, including handmade blankets that we use all the time now!
The decorations on the cupcakes made of felt and buttons were one of my favorite touches {out of a million special little details at this shower!}
And the favors were these cute little candy buttons.
Everything about this baby shower was truly as "Cute as a button" and I'm so thankful for my sweet friends for showering Luke and I with this special baby shower!
And now somehow, our precious Luke is already over 5 months old and off to get his first haircut today... sniffle, sniffle. This picture {taken by the talented Heidi Jackman} seems like it was taken yesterday! Isn't he just as cute as a button?
