Tickle tickle!!

Sam tickled my belly today and said, "Luke's ticklish... he's laughing!"

These boys are soooo sweet, which reminds me that I used to keep a little notebook/ recipe book filled with all of my favorite things that Sam said when he was little. Now that Jake is quite the little chatterbox too, I've pulled out the book again so I remember to write down all these little sweet things they say. And the silly things too... tonight at dinner the boys were having a conversation about washing the dogs. I told Sam I'd give him two dollars for washing Charley and two dollars for washing Flick. He made sure that we were talking about "green money, no coins." I assured him that he would get green money. Then Jake said, "Two dollars? That's a rip off!"

I can't wait to show it to them when they are older. Clearly the recipes I print from online are taking over the book, but with all the sweet things these boys say, that will change in no time! Seriously, if our house ever catches on fire, this journal will be one of the things I make sure to grab.

Back on the wagon...

After almost a whole year of "I don't like Toy Story anymore" from Sam, I'm thrilled that he has jumped off the Star Wars wagon (that was a crazy serious obsession for a while!) and back on the Toy Story train! Now to convince him that he doesn't need a Toy Story party two years in a row...

Now I know my ABC's

Now that my schedule has recently gone from insanely overwhelmingly busy to blissfully light and relaxing, I have SO much more time to spend time with my boys- reading to them, taking them to the library, painting, crafting, and just enjoying their chubby little cheeks, their sweet kisses, and all the hilarious things they say all day long!

I also have more time to catch up on crafting... and this is about the cutest thing I've ever seen {I know, I say that 100 times a day but I really mean it!} It would look perfect in my boys' playroom {except that we just had to convert the toy room back into their bedroom so their bedroom could become the nursery again for our little Luke}. Oh well... maybe I should just work on the nursery for now instead. After months and months of searching, I finally found the perfect simple, classic, boyish non-cartoonish bedding I've been picturing in my head for Luke's crib {horray Pottery Barn Kids!} so I'm excited to get started on his room... maybe he would like the alphabet on his nursery wall?

Lemon Ice... how cute are these?!?

I just recently discovered this blog, The Idea Room, and I LOVE it!! This is where I got the tutorial for the hand sanitizer gifts (plus a friend of mine made them a couple years back and I remembered how cute they were from then) and I just purchased the travel games for the car from here too... can't wait for our upcoming road trip!! So many cute, crafty ideas that are actually do-able without spending a million dollars or a million hours! Can I rewind to Monday night when I had some of my favorite girlfriends over and serve lemonade like this?!

For details and a million other cute ideas, go to The Idea Room.

Plum Jam

Mmmm... jam {thanks Kristen and Heather!)}This is really just a test to see if I linked our blog to my facebook acct. successfully. I think I'll blog a lot more if I think anyone out there is actually seeing it :)
