It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I've heard about these easy little treats a few different places...

and when I saw the Candy Cane Hershey Kisses at "Super T" the other night I HAD to try them. Here's what you do... so EASY!!!

Melt a bunch of the Candy Cane Hershey Kisses in a microwave safe bowl, stirring every 20 seconds or so until melted. Dip Ritz crackers (yes, Ritz!) in the melted yumminess. Melt some chocolate chips in the microwave. Drizzle melted chocolate over dipped crackers. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes or so until firm. Delicious!!!

They were the perfect snack to enjoy while driving to this AMAZING light display...

Sorry, my pictures don't do it justice at all :( It's really, really the coolest light display ever! 35 minutes of lights synchronized to music, connected to 3 houses in a row, a big nativity scene in the garage, a patriotic slideshow, plus you can go in the backyard AND inside their house. WOW!! There really are such nice people in this world. And smart too... they had their carpet wrapped in plastic. Hmm, maybe Ben would like to do that with our house next year?! But of course I ran into a former student there... and it's a half hour from home! So I guess this is what it feels like to be famous, huh?

This house was crazy good. It made Jake want to do more on our house, which i say ummmm no. I'd like to know what their electric bill is!

Mandy... I heard the man say that they have 13,000 lights and 1,500 extension cords. Can you imagine their bill?! Crazy!!!

I just learned of this place this year and visited it twice. I asked the wife about the electic bill and she said that it goes up by about 10-15 times what it normally is!!! I then gave them all the little bit of cash I had in my wallet to assist in whatever meager way I could.

REALLY, words just cannot describe this house. The wife also told me that her husband begins synchronizing the lights with the music on some computer software in MARCH all by using the spacebar to match light colors with the beat. AMAZING! I believe they said it takes about 8 weeks to put up all the lights and decorations too. She said that HGTV did a segment on them two years ago and still shows it around Christmas time--apparently they haven't found anyone around here to beat their act, and I don't know that they ever will. And the man is out there passing out candy canes and talking to people the whole time. They honestly just enjoy bringing this thrill of Christmas to others. We will definitely be stopping by this house again next year.
